Who we are
Black Frame Media is a social media management and content creation business based in Northern Ireland. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@blackframemedia.co.uk.
What we collect
- Enquiries. If you contact us through our website or by email, we receive the details you choose to share — typically your name, email address, company and message.
- Website analytics. Only if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to collect information about how the site is used — pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, and approximate location (country or city).
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver our services.
- To understand which parts of the website are useful so we can improve it.
We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Our lawful basis
We handle enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to you, or to take steps towards a contract at your request. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that last up to two years. They are not set unless you accept them. If you decline, the site works exactly the same. We also store your cookie choice in your browser so we don’t ask you every visit.
Who we share it with
Analytics data is processed by Google, which may store it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Our email and website hosting providers store data on our behalf. We don’t share your information with anyone else unless required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, and client records for as long as required for business and legal purposes. Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email us and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
